Park # 18, Dry Creek Community Park 04.28.16

Before we came to this park, I had showed Cooper a bunch of pictures and he was already calling it the Tarzan Park.  It's a really cute little park.  It has two tall slides, lots of things to climb and traditional swings.  There was a full size basketball court where Cooper went back and forth trying to learn how to dribble.  This park has a huge covered picnic area and really clean bathrooms.   I even saw a couple of tennis courts.  There was also a nice little hiking/biking trail along the back of the park.

Mom's Review:  I loved that this park is built on poured rubber so I wasn't picking bark out of my shoes for an hour.  It was the cutest little park.  I loved how unique it looked and a few of the climbing toys were different  from the past parks we have gone to.  This park is pretty new, so there is no shade and there weren't any trees.

Coop's Review:  This park was kind of boring because it only had two slides and when you go down them they are so slow.  I did like the circle tunnel that you have to climb through.  That was fun and different.  I loved the basketball court.  I was dribbling all over the place.  I would maybe come back with my bike so I can explore the bike trail.

Learning how to dribble at the basketball court!

This Tarzan themed park is so adorable!!

Cooper loved this funny tunnel!  He said climbing up was easier
than going down.

Cooper trying to get down the tunnel, trying not to
smack his head.

The climbing net to get up to the top of the play area was
one of Cooper's favorite parts of the park.

Before leaving the park Cooper wanted to see if he could climb
up the tunnel like it was a monkey bar.  He was too tall to do this.

Park # 17, Misty Wood Park 04.28.16

This is a nice little neighborhood park.  There are a few big shade tree and a nice open field.  It has a decent  size play structure with slides and plenty of things to climb. There was also a pirate ship off to the side.  There aren't bathrooms but there were a few picnic tables, bench and one BBQ.  It also had a small basketball court with just one basket.

Mom's Review:  I thought this was a cute little park.  The play structure was a little small but still kept Cooper busy.  The tables and benches are all in the shade but the play structure is out in the open so it was really sunny.  The negative thing I found was the traffic noise.  It is right off of pleasant grove which is a pretty busy street.   They did do a good job of putting up a fence around the park, a row of bushes and two guard rails.

Coop's Review:  I really liked the weird monkey bar thing.  It was like monkey bars but you had to slide across.  I played on it the whole time.  This park seemed more like a little kid park.  The slides were all short and I was ok climbing up and jumping off.  The garbage can was also so far away.  I had to run super far to throw away my snack bag. The pirate ship was ok but it didn't have anything to do on it.  I don't really care if we come back to this park.

Misty Wood Park, Roseville CA

Cooper had more fun jumping off this slide than he did
going down the slide!

These were the funny monkey bars that Cooper loved.  He played
on it for at least 30 minutes.

This was a lot of work for Cooper!!

The pirate ship.  I thought it was super cute, but Cooper was not
impressed with it.

This was the other side of the pirate ship!!

Park # 16, Whitney Community Park 04.24.16

Whitney Community Park is the biggest park we have ever been to.  It is crazy how huge it is!!!  This is a beautiful park that is 3 levels high.  We drove up and didn't know where to start.  There are 3 different play areas for different ages and a water park area.   The biggest area had insane amounts of things to do.  There were slides everywhere.  There were rock walls, and so many different climbing structures. This park kept Cooper very challenged and busy.  This park had EVERYTHING!!!  Basketball courts, baseball fields, and  lighted sports field.  The picnic area was huge and there were a few parties going on while we were there.

Mom's Review:  All I can say about this park is WOW!!!  There was so much stuff to do.  The smile on Cooper's face when he saw all the climbing structures was priceless and made me so happy.   I loved the picnic area and can see us having picnics and family gatherings here.   The bathrooms were clean and it had a decent amount of shade for such a new park.  My only complaint about this park is with how big it is, I had such a hard time keeping an eye on Cooper.   He is so fast and trying to keep my eye on him was difficult.   But other than that I loved this park and will definitely be making a visit back here.

Coop's Review:  I love this park.  I was sad when we had to leave.  I can't pick just one thing I loved because I loved everything.    Every park should be this awesome.  I was able to climb and balance and jump.  I was going crazy.  I didn't like the little park but my mom made me play over there for a little bit and she told me she would give me a dollar if I played and let her take some pictures.

Cooper loved this climbing net, but it made me so nervous.  The gaps
were huge and his footing is not good.  I thought he was going
to fall.

Coming down one of the tall slides!!

This was one of the many rock walls that this park had.
Cooper loved all the climbing stuff here!

This was one of the climbing nets to get to the slides.

A braille wall at the park.  There was also a few walls with different
types of dinosaurs on them.
This was one of the smaller playgrounds at the park!!

Riding toy on one of the smaller playgrounds.

The cool tunnel at the smaller playground.  Cooper loved playing inside of it.

Park # 15, Buljan Park 04.23.16

We had come to the park on Saturday during a few softball games so the park was a little bit busy, but it was still a good time.  This park has six slides and most of them were pretty big and fun!!   It had monkey bars and a lot of places to climb up to get up to the slides. There were a lot of picnic areas and places to sit.

Mom's Review:  I really liked that almost the whole park was shaded when we were there, so it is the perfect summer park.  There was a lot of places to sit and a good amount of picnic tables.  I liked that they had bathrooms at this park and they were clean.  I didn't like that there were so many older kids there and they played really rough and didn't watch where they were going, but other than that this was another awesome park.

Coop's Review:  I loved how short the monkey bars were.  I love monkey bars and I'm glad this park had some that I could do on my own.  I liked the big bumpy slide.  I would zoom down it so fast.   My mom brought my funny running toy that goes in the air and I would go chase it.  I didn't like how small the baby slide was.  It is kinda fun to climb up but I don't like going down.  It's tooo BORING!!!

Buljan Park, Roseville CA

This was one of Cooper's favorite slides.   He likes the tunnel slides best
because they don't get hot from the sun.

This playground was pretty awesome and you can see how much shade
is at this park.  It was great for us people who burn so easy.

These monkey bars were Cooper's favorite.  You can see in the
picture how low to the ground they are.  He was able to
get on them without any help.

So many things like this for Cooper to climb all over and jump
off of.

Playing in the open field!

Park # 14, Cresthaven Park 04.21.16

Cresthaven Park was a lot of fun.  It has two play structures on opposite sides of the park, but we only played at the main one.  It had one twisty slide, a few spheres to climb through,  tons of climbing structures, a spider net climbing thing,  it had a music toy and 2 regular swings.  It also had a baseball field,  a basketball court and I'm pretty sure that I saw a tennis court.

Mom's Review:  I really really liked this park.  It had a lot of big trees and the park structure is all shaded.  Cooper kept himself so busy here and he didn't want to leave even after over an hour of playing.  There was a nice little picnic area with tables and the bathrooms were clean.

Coop's Review:  My favorite thing at this park was the super tall fireman pole.  There was a lot of climbing stuff to get up to the playground.  I wish there were more slides.  There was only one and it was small.  I also liked the rocks that were around the playground.  I would climb up and jump.  I like to climb a lot.  The only thing I didn't like at this park was the little music toy.  It was like a piano and you hit the keys.

Cresthaven Park

So many climbing walls here!!!

Cooper said these spheres were boring but he got inside for a
few pictures for me!

This spinner thing was weird and Cooper only played on it
long enough for me to get a picture!

Cooper's favorite part of the park.  The super tall fireman
pole.  He was getting down it so fast!

I thought this rock wall was cool, but Cooper was too scared to
get across it.  This was the furthest he got on it!

Cooper's least favorite part of the park.  The music thing!!

Park # 13, Weber Park 04.15.16

This was another park we got to take my niece Delilah to, but this time we had my pregnant sister with us too.  Weber park is really cute and is in the shape of a jellyfish! Cooper and I love anything beach themed. It had fun slides including the racing slide that Cooper and Delilah love so much.  There are two ride on animals, swings and basketball courts.

Mom's Review:  When we got there, we noticed a pretty big loud party going on so my sister and I had decided that we weren't going to stay long.  It's a nice park and the trees are huge and provide a lot of shade.  My sister noticed that there wasn't much seating but there is a lot of shade and open space for a blanket to be thrown down and a picnic.

Coop's Review:  My favorite thing was the side by side slide so me and Delilah could race each other down.  I really liked the climbing wall but Delilah was scared to go too high, but that's ok.  I didn't like that the swings were full the whole time we were there so we couldn't swing.  The park was really small compared to a lot of parks I've gone to.  There wasn't enough things to climb on.

The jelly fish structure was so cute!

There wasn't a lot to climb on, but Cooper liked climbing this to
get to the slide to race Delilah!

1...2...3...GOOOOOO!!!!

Cute little ride on toys.

One of the bigger climbing structures!!

All Cooper ever wants to do at the park is climb.

Park # 12, Freedom Park 04.15.16

This was another park that wasn't on our list but we  had a Groupon for the Aerospace Museum and this park was right next to it.  This park is pretty awesome especially for the area that it is in.  There are 3 playgrounds for the different age groups, there is even a small water area for the summer months.  There was a ton of picnic tables for parties and large get togethers.  We saw a basketball court and a lot of open space to play.

Mom's Review:  I really liked this park, but it's not one we will come back to since it's far from where we live.  The main play area  is huge and has a lot of slides and so many climbing structures.  There was an awesome tight rope and rock wall that Cooper spent most of his time climbing.  Cooper played on all 3 playgrounds and loved the big one best.  He rode on the riding toys on the toddler section and thought it was fun for about 5 minutes.   I liked how clean the bathrooms and the picnic area was.  The one thing I really DID NOT like was that there were a lot of younger kids that weren't with an adult and I felt bad leaving without knowing who they were with.

Coop's Review:  This park was AWESOME!!!  The slides were so tall and fun.  My favorite part of the park was the rock wall with the rope.  I would climb to the very top and jump off.  I liked the tightrope too.  I went back and forth a few times.  I didn't like the smaller playground.  It was fun but the slides were too small and when I would go down it was slow.  I really wanted to go the water part of the park but it was closed.

I really wish this park was closer because I would love to come back once the water part is open and I love how busy it kept Cooper.   The Aerospace Museum was really interesting and the volunteers were great.  I definitely recommend checking it out and stopping at this park either before or after.

This was Cooper's favorite part of the park!!  It had a Rope to climb up
to get to the top of the rock!

This park is one of the biggest parks that we have been to so far.  This was just
one of the three play areas.  This one was for the older kids!

This park had insane amounts of structures to climb up to get to the top!

This was the second play area of the park and the slides were a little bit smaller,
but it still had a lot of climbing structures.

This was the third play structure at the park and it was obviously for
younger toddlers.  Cooper could barely fit!

This was another climbing wall on the main play structure.

One more pictures from Cooper's favorite part of the park.   He loves anything where he can
climb up and jump off!!

Park # 11, Garbolini Park 04.14.16

Wow, this park was awesome!!  We pulled up to see a giant play structure in the shape of a truck with three super tall slides, tons of climbing structures and slides for both babies and big kids.  There is a basketball court, two baseball fields, a soccer field and there are also picnic tables.  We brought Cooper's golf clubs and let him hit the balls before we played on the playground.

Mom's Review:  I cannot say enough good things about this park.  The play structure was huge and kept Cooper so busy.  There were so many huge older trees and so much shade.  I really loved that Cooper could do everything at this park with no help.  The monkey bars were a little high for him but once we picked him up onto it he was able to swing by himself.  The only thing I wish was different was that they had a bathroom.  Cooper ended up having to find a tree but other than that we LOVE this park and will definitely be making a trip back out when we have more time.

Coop's Review:  I think this is my new favorite park.  I love how tall the slides are and when you go down you zoom so fast to the bottom and sometimes I even fall off.   The monkey bars were too high but they were still fun.  I LOVED EVERYTHING AT THIS PARK!!!!!

Garbolini Park

Super tall steep slide!!

Not sure what this was, but it spun around and Cooper loved it!!

This park had so many fun and unique parts to it!

Cooper likes anything that is truck themed so this park was a big favorite
for him!!

Every part of this truck could be climbed on.

Cooper loved climbing all over this truck!
