Park # 24, Mel Hamel Park 05.19.16

Today was a super busy day.  Cooper and I woke up and wanted to see how many parks we could do in one day.  After four parks we are both home exhausted.  Our first park of the day was  Mel Hamel Park!!  This was a cute little tropical themed park.  The play structure had eight slides, a bridge,  curved monkey bars, hoping stones, an ape to climb on and both types of swings.  It also had a basketball court, a volleyball sand pit and huge open space for running and kicking the soccer ball.

Mom's Review:  I liked this park and it's good for all ages.  It has a really cool tall triple slide and on the other side of the structure was a smaller slide.   There was a lot of open space and the park was clean and well maintained.  There were two covered picnic areas but there was only one picnic table under the cover.   The only thing this park needs is a bathroom and some shade.

Coop's Review:  The triple slide was awesome.  I've never seen a slide like this.  It was really FAST too!!!!!  There was a cool ape that you could climb on but it was slippery and my mom had to help me up to the top.  I saw a totem pole that had a water spout but no water came out.  My mom said something about a drought.  I didn't like the baby slide but I ran up it a few times and jumped off the top.  I love the monkey bars but they were too high and I couldn't reach them without help.

Mel Hamel Park, Roseville CA

Coolest slide we have found at a park, plus it's fast too!!!

Cooper trying to balance.  He was a little wobbly!

This had a water spout on it and it looks like it could be a water toy.  Not sure if it will be on this year with the drought but it is a cool part of the park.

Giant ape at the end of the park!

Some sort of animal tunnel.

The swing was a little low and Cooper wasn't able to pump his legs.
